About FPCF

The First Presbyterian Church of Flint is a mid-size, intergenerational congregation who gathers for worship, faith formation, and local mission in the heart of downtown Flint, Michigan. We are a historic congregation formed in the mid-18th century, and over the past 180+ years, we have grown into a vibrant and eclectic family of faith from all over Genesee County.

Our Congregation

Our congregation has 977 official members with an active congregation of between 300-400 persons. In the past five years, we have seen the most significant increase in the number of young families (25-45) participating in our worship and faith formation opportunities.

Leadership

As a member of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), our church is led by an elected and ordained team of elders. These elders work with our church staff to serve the congregation by making decisions, developing strategies, creating opportunities for mission and service, and praying for our church family.

Budget and Vision

Our church’s annual budget is $1.69M and is funded by both member contributions (55%) and invested funds (45%). We are a generous congregation who is in financial and missional partnership with several organizations and mission efforts in the city of Flint.
